New Modular
You may have noticed a big hole in the ground beside school. Soon that hole will disappear and in it’s place will be a new modular classroom. The additional space will become Mrs. Dinel’s new grade 6 classroom, and like the other modular classrooms that were a part of our modernization, this one will have a sink and air conditioning. Since it has to be taken across the ball field, the wet weather delaying installation.
Terry Fox Run
Thank you to everyone who donated to the Terry Fox Foundation during our Terry Fox Run event. Our school set a goal of $500, and we raised $548.75! Thank you for your generosity.
Although the weather was brisk, we had a successful event with everyone walking and/or running.
Upgrades Continue
Spaces in our school are currently receiving audio-visual upgrades. The gym is getting a larger screen and a high intensity laser projector that will produce crisper images for presentations and movie nights. Included will be a new audio system. We will no longer need to lay wires across the floor.

Read-In Week
This year marks the 28th world-wide Read-In Week. Begun in 1990 when UNESCO declared that year The Year Of Literacy, Read-in Week continues to be a fall tradition in schools.
This year, students read, and were read to during Read-In Week. Guest-readers and buddy-readers worked with various younger students to help instill the love of reading.
