As you know, residents Fort McMurray have undergone a mandatory evacuation, and many have experience a huge loss as a result of the recent wildfire. We as a school would like to raise money to help families displaced due to the wildfires.
Starting Tuesday, May 10th your child’s classroom will be accepting money donations in the form of a change drive. We will be collecting all coins: twoonies, loonies, quarters, dimes, and even pennies if you still have them!
This money will go to the Red Cross relief efforts to help the displaced families. Our goal is to reach $500 and when we complete this goal we will keep on fundraising. We would like to remind you that the government at the federal and provincial level is matching all donations.
