On Wednesday, March 4, the New Horizons Nighthawks “A” teams played in the Bronze Medal Finals in the Elk Island Catholic Schools Basketball League.
While the girls came up short in their game, they played with much pride and spirit making their opponents, the John Paul II Patriots, work for each basket. Thanks to the coaches Ram Sharma and Armeen Ahmadian, and teacher sponsor Ms. Ewert, the team demonstrated amazing growth as the year progressed. Congratulations on your season!
Meanwhile, the boys captured the bronze medal by defeating the St. Theresa Hawks in a thrilling game that was decided in the last few minutes with a score of 74-62. Thanks to Mr. Zarowny for coaching the boys. Congratulations Nighthawks!
