During lunch recess, students have had opportunities to meet in the Learning Commons and other spaces to participate in some extracurricular activities.
Chess has been a very popular game during lunch recess. The schedule for chess is as follows:
- Monday & Wednesday: Grades 1-3
- Tuesday & Thursday: Grades 4-6
During all lunch hour recesses, the Learning Commons is available to junior high students as a study hall.
Students from grades 4-6 are also invited to learn a dance routine. Led by grade 6 students, those interested can meet in the gym on Tuesday and Thursday during lunch recess.
