Bottle Drives
Bottle drives for the 2023/24 school year are ongoing — whenever a large attendance of families is anticipated at the school, you can expect bottle collections to take place.
Dec. 21st, Winter Concert
Cobs Bread
When making a purchase at Cobs Bread at either Sherwood Park location, just indicate that you are with New Horizons School. A percentage of your purchase (5%) will be allocated to our school.
Hot Lunch
Hot lunch orders are processed in batches, usually four to five times per year. Once ordering closes for a session, no orders will be accepted after that date.

Forage Market (formerly Oonnie)
Simply shop at foragemarket.ca/newhorizons, a locally-owned, Edmonton-based online Farmer’s Market and we receive 10% back!

Mabel’s Labels
Do your kid’s belongings always seem to end up in the lost and found bin?
This fundraiser is being offered as a service, so is running all year.

“No Fuss” Fundraising
Some parents may wish to make a monetary donation to FANHS rather than participate in our fundraisers.
Donations by cash: Please email the FANHS Treasurer first then deposit your cash donation in a clearly marked envelope into the silver FANHS mailbox in the kindergarten hallway.
Donations by cheque: Please email the FANHS Treasurer first then make cheque payable to “FANHS” with memo line: No Fuss Donation and drop in the silver FANHS mailbox in the kindergarten hallway.
Donations by EFT: Please email the FANHS Treasurer first then e-transfers to payments.FANHS@gmail.com with a memo: No Fuss Donation.
Please note: FANHS is unable to issue tax receipts. However, parents wishing a tax receipt can donate directly to the Board (New Horizons Charter School Society). Please contact the board to coordinate.
Salisbury Gift Cards
Salisbury gift cards are now available through FANHS year round. So, whether you’re in need of a holiday gift, a birthday gift, or just because, we’ve got you covered!
Gift cards are available in denominations of $25, $50, $100, and $250 and take about 1 week to process. Ordering online takes less than 5 minutes via this link.
Save-On-Foods
Bring us your Save-On-Foods receipts from the Sherwood Park Wye Road location. This rebate program earns the school 5% of the total of all receipts. Tobacco, gift cards, and lottery are excluded from the totals.
Bring your receipts to school in your child’s kanga or directly to the FANHS mailbox in the kinder hallway.

Fiddle Leaf Photography
Jaw-Dropping Portraits of Your Child + a Fundraiser for New Horizons School = Win/Win
Celebrate the end of the school year by capturing your child just as they are! PLUS, 10% of total orders will be returned back to New Horizons as a fundraiser.
THE WHAT
• A 10 minute portrait session per child.
• I’m all about making photos FUN! That means no annoying flash bulbs (I use all-natural light) and no “say cheese”. I have a big bag of tricks from years of working with kids that result in natural expressions.
• A classic black background that lets your child(ren) shine.
• Grad gown photos in NHS colors can also be selected as an add on for Kinder & Grade 9 students.
THE DATES, TIMES & LOCATION
• Sessions will take place by appointment in March, April, May and June.
• All sessions will be in the Fiddle Leaf Studio in Sherwood Park.
• A minimum of 5 edited images in a viewing gallery (each in colour and black and white).
THE PRICE
•Session fee: $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child in the family.
• Online galleries will be available for viewing within 2 weeks of the session with the option to purchase digital images and/or print packages.

Summit Sourdough
Welcome to Summit Sourdough, we make sourdough starter easy! Our heirloom 125 year old Canadian Sourdough Starter lets you start your sourdough journey with success. Our starter boasts impressive activity and predictably and consistently triples in size in 5-8 hours. Your starter will last indefinitely with proper maintenance and feeding, allowing you to create your favourite sourdough breads, pizza dough, bagels, biscuits, waffles, cinnamon buns, cookies, pancakes and more for years to come!
– WHAT YOU GET –
1 package (15g which is approximately 1.5 tablespoons) of dehydrated sourdough starter. Your starter is packed in a food safe bag and heat sealed shut for safety. Also included are instructions on how to re-hydrate your starter over 7 days, which includes some common FAQs and links to our favourite recipes and more!
Families will be responsible for collecting their orders at New Horizons. With consent to do so, orders may be sent home with your child via kangas/backpacks. Summit Sourdough will be ordered on a weekly basis.
Scholastic Book Club
Not to be confused with Book Fair Events, our Scholastic Book Club runs year-round with flyers sent home in kangas monthly. Purchases earn points for our school to buy more classroom/library books.
